Aurore Margat joined Sorbonne Paris Nord University in 2019 as a Senior Lecturer before being appointed University Professor in the Éducations et Promotion de la Santé Laboratory (LEPS - UR 3412), of which she is now Director.
She also heads the École Universitaire de Recherche en Sciences Infirmières et Promotion de la Santé (EUR SIePS), the first EUR in nursing sciences in France.

Research areas
Her research focuses on understanding health literacy as a lever for reducing social inequalities in health and improving individual autonomy. She designs and evaluates innovative therapeutic education programs and, more broadly, health promotion programs, integrating the participation of the people concerned and the principles of epistemic justice.
She is also interested in the implementation of new professional practices, such as advanced practice nursing, and develops pedagogical models for the training of healthcare professionals.

Olivia Gross is a senior lecturer in education and training. She holds the Research Chair in Patient Engagement at Sorbonne Paris Nord University. She conducts her research at the Laboratoire Éducations et Promotion de la Santé (LEPS-UR3412), where she has spent her entire academic career, after many years working with associations in the field of rare diseases.

Gross has just published a book (Doin) on the autonomy of people in care or receiving support (Vers une modélisation de l'autonomie : pratiques, discours et aspirations dans les soins et les accompagnances). She co-coordinates various programs with patient-teachers from the UFR SMBH, programs which have won 6 national awards, including the PRESCRIRE en 2025 prize.
She runs the "peer health mediators" course in the Health and Social Sciences bachelor's degree program, in partnership with the CCOMS and IRIS.
