Les déterminants du recours aux soins vis-à-vis de la santé orale des enfants de 0 à 5 ans

Determinants of health care use for oral health in children aged 0-5 years

Project overview Oral health is an integral part of overall health and well-being. The oral health of children is a marker of social inequality in health. Children's oral health differs, depending on their origins and the socio-professional category to which their parents belong. Other determinants of oral health have been reported in the literature. The child's oral health behaviour or the presence of carious lesions is associated with the oral health behaviour of the parents. The person responsible for the child's daily care: "the caregiver" appears to be a determining factor. The use of care is studied according to several conceptual models that we will use in our work.
Thus, the aim of our research project is to identify the determinants of the use of care as well as the modalities of use with respect to the oral health of children aged 0 to 5 years through a longitudinal study.
