Programme Neith : Amélioration de la qualité de vie des patients BPCO au Liban

Improving the quality of life of COPD patients in Lebanon through nursing consultation and remote monitoring.

Project overview The Neith program was set up to study the impact of a nursing consultation and remote monitoring on the skills of COPD patients. To do this, the program is conducted in three phases, each corresponding to a separate study.
The three studies that make up the program are as follows:
- Neith 1 aimed to identify validated actions to determine a specific self-management program for COPD patients. This was a systematic review conducted in 2017 and has been updated to include new 2018 and 2019 publications on the topic and modified into a scoping review.
- Neith 2 aimed to explore the COPD patient's experience of their disease in Lebanon in order to be able to examine the subjective representation of this disease in a specific life context. It was a qualitative phenomenological study.
- Neith 3 was set up following the results of the first two studies which allowed us to design a self-management program specific to Lebanese COPD patients. It was a feasibility study with the objective of analyzing the viability and the economic and organizational implications of this intervention in the Lebanese context.

A fourth study will be conducted during the postdoctoral period. This interventional study will aim to measure the impact of the program on the expertise and quality of life of COPD patients in Lebanon.
