Municipalization of prevention consultations for future fathers of mothers living in Montreuil (93100)

Project overview The Montreuil hospital CeGIDD is involved in close cooperation with the city's municipal health centers (CMS) and is partnering with the GHUPSSD Public Health Department and the LEPS to carry out a project to implement a prenatal consultation dedicated to future fathers in the territory of Montreuil, Seine Saint Denis.
This project follows the research "PARTAGE" financed by the National Agency for Research on AIDS, viral hepatitis, and emerging infectious diseases which studied for 15 months
the acceptability and feasibility of a prenatal prevention consultation dedicated to future fathers with
recruitment of men included through their pregnant partner, during the first hospital prenatal consultation, from January 25, 2021 to April 22, 2022.
This research demonstrated the feasibility, acceptability and usefulness of this male prenatal prevention consultation, provided that it is strongly supported by a team committed to "outreach": 67% of the men we received were migrants, and more than 90% were behind in their vaccination schedule. Nearly half of them were far from care. Numerous pathologies were discovered in the first 1,250 fathers received at this consultation.
This consultation will be generalized to all the inhabitants of the city of Montreuil, and the DSP of the GHUPSSD will carry the evaluation part and the LEPS the educational part.
The scaling up project will start in November 2022.
