Nursing Sciences research is essential to generating new knowledge, assessing existing practices and services, and providing evidence that can serve as a reference for training, practice, research and supervision in the healthcare field.
The Nursing Sciences Research Chair is intended not just to promote reflection (both epistemological and sociological) on nursing research, its context and its usefulness, but also – and especially – to conduct and capitalize on studies useful to populations and patients in the short and medium term. This means that the results they produce can be used by health professionals and patients and are innovative.
The primary focus of the research is to improve clinical, management and training practices. Particular attention is given to the connection with education for health.
Other important objectives are to promote the chair, open it up to society and develop scientific partnerships.
